INTRODUCTION
Exodus 24 describes how God officially makes a covenant (a sacred agreement) with the people of Israel after giving them His laws at Mount Sinai. The chapter emphasizes obedience, worship, sacrifice, and God's holy presence.

Text Review:
1. God calls leaders to the mountain (vv. 1–2). God tells Moses, Aaron, Aaron's sons (Nadab and Abihu), and seventy elders to come and worship Him. Only Moses is allowed to come close to God.
2. The people agree to obey God (vv. 3–8). Moses tells the people God's commands, and they respond, "We will do everything the Lord has said." Moses builds an altar, offers sacrifices, and sprinkles blood on the altar and the people to confirm the covenant between God and Israel.
3. The leaders share a meal before God (vv. 9–11). Moses and the leaders go up the mountain, experience God's presence, and eat a covenant meal together. This symbolizes peace and fellowship with God.
4. Moses goes higher up the mountain (vv. 12–18). God calls Moses to receive the stone tablets containing His law. God's glory covers the mountain like a cloud and fire, and Moses stays there for forty days and forty nights.

Key Lessons
• God desires a relationship with His people through a covenant.
• Obedience is the proper response to God's grace and commands.
• Sacrifice and blood symbolize forgiveness and commitment to God.
• God is holy, so approaching Him requires reverence.
• God reveals Himself to those He calls and prepares.
Exodus 24:7 (NIV): "We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey."

CONCLUSION
Exodus 24 records the establishment of God's covenant with Israel, where the people promise obedience, sacrifices confirm the covenant, and Moses enters God's presence to receive His law.
Exodus 24 teaches believers to:
• Keep their commitments to God.
• Approach God with reverence and worship.
• Trust God's guidance and presence.
• Remember that fellowship with God is made possible through His covenant.
